Russia announces landing of modern nuclear submarine carrying marine robots in water

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the launch into the water of the Khabarovsk nuclear submarine carrying missiles and underwater drones, during a ceremony which took place in Severodvinsk on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

The launching ceremony of the Khabarovsk nuclear submarine took place at the production complex of the “Sevmash” company in Severodvinsk, in the presence of Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov.

The submarine carries marine robots which will then undergo a series of tests, in addition to missile weapons, and undertake tasks related to the security of Russia’s maritime borders.

The Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed that this modern atomic submarine will allow Russia to successfully defend its interests in the world’s oceans.
